Everything that could have possibly gone wrong actually happened in this trip past weekend: one of us missed the first train, one of us got sick, all of us got lost in Lyon, all of us overslept and missed the stop at Ronchamp, all of us walking everywhere trying to find a groceries store that was open there and all of us getting lost again, for example.
Our itinerary was like this: Paris > 2 days in Lyon > Belfort > Ronchamp for a day then back to Belfort > Paris. I've also become some sort of train/flight booking expert, opening multitabs in search for the best price. #HelpMeImPoor Oh and my lovely traveling partners were the 2 awesome Peruvians who managed to teach me some more Spanish, Akemi and Lorena. We're like, bros now.
Despite all the hardship and struggles, our trip turned out exceptionally well by just meeting amazing people (thanks to our Airbnb hosts), receiving kindness from strangers (one lady from Ronchamp drove us to the store after seeing that we were lost), and sketching and photographing our hearts out at Chapelle Notre Dame du Haut by Le Corbusier. Lots and lots of exhaustion and hunger for snacks during the trip, but we survived. Ended up with a few great pictures so here it goes:

Beautiful sceneries of Lyon:
Hardship in Ronchamp (mainly our 30' walk up the hill to get to the Chapelle, ignoring looks from car riders, roaming around town aimlessly trying to find something that was open. Ronchamp was a dead town period.) Our only entertainment were ourselves, sad jokes and selfies.
Happiness in Ronchamp - heehee:
And also, I've started doing my main project for this experience in Europe. As I meet more people from different countries around the world, I will do a portrait of them, then ask them to tell me something they would want the world to know about their countries, something that would clear out all the stereotypes we all have about the rest of the world. So here's a sneak peek: Lorena Solís, my Ronchamp-crazy friend from Peru :)
Til' next time!
